Diabetes medicines come in the form of tablets and injections. Make sure you know which medicine you are taking and that you are taking it correctly.
Many people with type 2 diabetes need medications to help manage their blood glucose levels. When you are first diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, you may not need medication. However, as diabetes progresses, most people will eventually need medications to help lower their blood glucose levels. This may include tablets or injectable medications, or in some cases, insulin.
